-The Braves acquired B.J. Surhoff from the Orioles for Luis Rivera, Fernando Lunar, and Trenidad Hubbard.

-Chipper was awesome in the All Star game, and would of won
the MVP if it weren't for Derek Jeter. Unfortunately he didn't do so great in the Home Run Derby, he only came up with 2 homers, and didn't advace to the second round.

MAJOR NEWS

-Chipper finally signed!!! Chipper signed a new deal
on Thursday worth $90 million for 6 years and a 2 year option, both years worth $15 million each.

-Chipper just recently bought a ranch in Texas with some
of his new contract money. It is his boyhood dream to own a ranch with his father.

-Chipper and his wife, Sharon, had a healthy baby on June 30, the baby was a whopping 9lbs. 14ounces !!! The baby's name is Larry Wayne Jones III, and will be called "Trey".
